   Application for Educational Session Presentation

“Take me back to Tulsa…”

Though we have not quite shaken the snow off our boots from a GREAT conference in Winnipeg (OK, so there was no snow!), it is time to start preparing for CAPPA 2020. And that means it’s time to start working on our educational program for the conference next fall in Tulsa, OK.

So on behalf of the Central Association of Physical Plant Administrators, “CAPPA”, it is a pleasure to invite you to submit your presentation abstract for consideration to present at the 2020 CAPPA Annual Conference at the Renaissance Tulsa Hotel and Convention Center. Hosted by Oklahoma State University, this year’s annual meeting promises to be one of the largest CAPPA meetings in recent memory, so be sure you play an active part.

The process starts by completing an Educational Presentation Application. Please complete all requested information and follow instructions at the end to submit. Notification of the final selections will be e-mailed by the end of February 2020.

IMPORTANT deadlines & details

Applications for Presentation Abstracts are due by Friday, January 17, 2020.

  • Individual, joint and panel proposals from education institution colleagues are welcome!
  • Are you a Business Partner?  Welcome to the 2020 Education Session proposal process.
  • 2020 guidelines encourage Business Partners to present in partnership with a higher education institution.
  • CAPPA requires that presentations are not a “sales pitch”, per the CAPPA Code of Conduct.

CAPPA Code of Professional Conduct:  Submission of a Presentation Abstract is acknowledgement of the CAPPA’s expectations for professional conduct for all participants in the Annual Meeting. Following the submission, you will receive a Code of Conduct acknowledgement letter to sign and return to the CAPPA Professional Development Committee. This also acknowledges that your proposal has been received for consideration.
